Red Bull Racing

Formula One racing team based in Milton Keynes, England

The Energy Drink Team From Milton Keynes

Built on the remains of Stewart and Jaguar, Red Bull Racing has won six constructors' titles and eight drivers' titles since 2010.

Red Bull Racing grew out of the team Jackie Stewart founded in 1997. Ford bought Stewart and ran it as Jaguar Racing, and when Ford put Jaguar up for sale, the energy drink company Red Bull, owned by Dietrich Mateschitz, completed the purchase in November 2004. The team is based in Milton Keynes in England but races under an Austrian license, and Christian Horner led it from its first race, the 2005 Australian Grand Prix, until 2025, when Laurent Mekies replaced him.

Cosworth and then Ferrari engines powered the early cars before a long partnership with Renault began in 2007. Sebastian Vettel gave the team its first win at the 2009 Chinese Grand Prix, and from 2010 to 2013 Red Bull won four constructors' championships in a row while Vettel took four straight drivers' titles. He won 38 races for the team, and Mark Webber and Daniel Ricciardo added victories of their own.

Honda engines arrived in 2019, and Max Verstappen became the team's second great champion. He won the drivers' title in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, and the team took the constructors' crowns of 2022 and 2023. In 2023 Red Bull cars won 21 of the 22 rounds, the only exception being Carlos Sainz Jr.'s win in Singapore. Verstappen has won 71 races for the team, the most by any of its drivers.

Red Bull also owns a second team, now Racing Bulls, and for 2026 it switched to engines built with Ford. Through the rounds held so far in 2026, Red Bull Racing has started 432 World Championship races and won 130 of them, the latest at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
