Russia's Most Successful Formula One Driver

Daniil Kvyat raced in Formula One from 2014 to 2020 for Toro Rosso, Red Bull and AlphaTauri, collecting three podiums along the way.

Born in Ufa, Daniil Kvyat won the GP3 Series in his rookie season as a Red Bull junior and made his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso at the 2014 Australian Grand Prix, finishing ninth. Red Bull Racing promoted him for 2015, and he took second place at the Hungarian Grand Prix that summer.

A third place in China followed in 2016 before he returned to Toro Rosso partway through the season. After leaving the team at the end of 2017, he came back in 2019 and finished third at a wet German Grand Prix from fourteenth on the grid. His final race was the 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with AlphaTauri, leaving him with 110 starts and three podiums, the best record of any Russian driver. He has since raced sports cars, including for Lamborghini.
