AlphaTauri and Gasly's Monza Win

Red Bull's Faenza team raced for four seasons under the name of its fashion label, and won once, with Pierre Gasly at Monza in 2020.

Scuderia AlphaTauri was a new name rather than a new team. The squad in Faenza had raced as Minardi from 1985 and as Toro Rosso from 2006, owned by Red Bull since then. In September 2019 it announced a change of name, and on 1 December 2019 it revealed that it would race as AlphaTauri, after Red Bull's fashion label, which bought the naming rights. Its leaders presented the change as a step from junior team to sister team of Red Bull Racing. Franz Tost remained team principal, with aerodynamic work done at Bicester in England.

The first season brought the team's finest moment. With Honda engines and drivers Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly, AlphaTauri made its debut at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix, and at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix Gasly won from tenth on the grid. It was his first victory and the first by a French driver since Olivier Panis at Monaco in 1996. The team finished seventh in the constructors' standings that year.

Yuki Tsunoda replaced Kvyat for 2021, and Gasly added a third place at the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the team's other podium. From 2022 the engines were Honda units branded for Red Bull. Gasly left for Alpine after 2023, and that final season saw Nyck de Vries replaced midyear by Daniel Ricciardo, with Liam Lawson also making starts.

After its last race at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the team was renamed RB, and Laurent Mekies succeeded Tost. As AlphaTauri it started 83 World Championship races, with one win and two podiums.
