Yuki Tsunoda

Japanese racing driver

Honda Protégé in the Red Bull Family

Yuki Tsunoda raced full time in Formula One from 2021 to 2025 for AlphaTauri, Racing Bulls and Red Bull, and returned as a substitute in 2026.

Born in Sagamihara, Yuki Tsunoda came up through Japanese Formula 4, where he won the title in 2018, and finished third in Formula 2 in 2020 with the backing of Honda and Red Bull. AlphaTauri gave him his Formula One debut at the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix, and he ended that first season with fourth place at Abu Dhabi, still his best result.

He stayed with the team through its change of name to Racing Bulls, then moved up to Red Bull Racing during 2025. Without a race seat for 2026, he served as a reserve driver and came back for three races with Racing Bulls, the last of them the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix. His record so far stands at 114 starts.

0 world titles, 0 wins, 0 pole positions, 114 starts.
