The 2013 season

Vettel's Autumn of Nine Wins

In the last year of the V8s, Sebastian Vettel won thirteen races, finished with nine straight victories and took a fourth consecutive title by 155 points.

By the end of 2013 the most suspenseful question in Formula One was who would finish second. The 2.4 liter V8s that had arrived in 2006 were running for the last time, with turbocharged hybrid V6 engines due the following year, and no Red Bull driver would be champion again until 2021. For half the season it looked like a contest. By the end it was one of the most lopsided championships the sport had seen.
