Second in Hungary for McLaren

Pedro de la Rosa raced in Formula One between 1999 and 2012, with his only podium coming at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix.

Born in Barcelona, Pedro de la Rosa won both the Formula Nippon and All Japan GT championships in 1997 before Arrows gave him his Formula One debut at the 1999 Australian Grand Prix, where he scored a point with sixth place. After two seasons at Arrows he raced for Jaguar in 2001 and 2002.

He then spent years as a test driver for McLaren, racing for the team once in 2005 and for eight races in 2006, when he finished second at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Later comebacks came with Sauber in 2010 and 2011 and with HRT in 2012, his final season, which ended at the Brazilian Grand Prix with his 104th start. He has since worked as a broadcaster and team executive.
