Spyker's Orange Interlude at Silverstone

The Dutch sports car maker owned the former Jordan team for barely a year, painting it orange before selling it on to become Force India.

Spyker F1 was created when the Dutch maker of hand built sports cars bought Midland F1, the Silverstone team that had begun life as Jordan Grand Prix. The sale was announced in 2006, and the cars carried the Spyker name for the last three races of that season before the team raced a full year in 2007 with a Dutch license, Ferrari engines and an orange and silver livery.

Across 2006 and 2007 the team started 20 Grands Prix. Adrian Sutil scored its only point with eighth place in Japan in 2007, and Christijan Albers, Sakon Yamamoto, Tiago Monteiro and Markus Winkelhock also drove. At the end of 2007 Spyker sold the team to Vijay Mallya, who renamed it Force India.
