Ten Podiums Before IndyCar

Romain Grosjean raced in Formula One from 2009 to 2020, collecting ten podiums with Lotus before leading Haas through its first seasons.

Born in Geneva and racing under the French flag, Romain Grosjean won the Formula 3 Euro Series in 2007 and made his Formula One debut with Renault at the 2009 European Grand Prix. He went back to junior racing, won the GP2 title in 2011 and returned with Lotus in 2012, taking podiums in Bahrain, Canada and Hungary. That season also brought a race ban after a crash at the start of the Belgian Grand Prix.

His strongest year was 2013, with six podiums including second at the United States Grand Prix. A final podium came at the 2015 Belgian Grand Prix before he joined the new Haas team in 2016. His last race was the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, where he escaped a fiery crash on the opening lap. He finished with 179 starts and ten podiums, then moved to IndyCar.
