Ferrari Test Driver with a Rare Record

Luca Badoer raced in Formula One between 1993 and 2009, holding the record for most starts without scoring a point.

Born in Montebelluna, Luca Badoer won the International Formula 3000 title at his first attempt in 1992 and moved straight into Formula One with Scuderia Italia, making his debut at the 1993 South African Grand Prix. That season he finished seventh at San Marino.

He later raced for Minardi in 1995 and 1999 and for Forti in 1996, in an era when only the top six scored. From 1998 he was a long serving Ferrari test driver, and in 2009 he stood in for Felipe Massa at the European and Belgian Grands Prix. Those two races took him to 50 starts without a championship point, a record.

0 world titles, 0 wins, 0 pole positions, 50 starts.
