From Baku Podium to Aston Martin

Lance Stroll reached Formula One with Williams in 2017 and has raced every season since with the team now known as Aston Martin.

Born in Montreal, Lance Stroll won the Italian F4 title in 2014, the Toyota Racing Series in 2015 and the European Formula 3 championship in 2016 before Williams brought him into Formula One at the 2017 Australian Grand Prix. His first season brought third place in Azerbaijan from eighth on the grid.

He moved to Racing Point in 2019, and 2020 gave him his best year so far, with pole position in Turkey and podiums at the Italian and Sakhir Grands Prix. The team became Aston Martin in 2021 and he has driven for it ever since, with Honda power in 2026. Through the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix he has made 204 starts, with three podiums and one pole.
