Henri Pescarolo raced in Formula One from 1968 to 1976, finishing third at Monaco in 1970, and won Le Mans four times.

Born in Paris, Henri Pescarolo began racing in a Lotus Seven at 22 and made his Formula One debut with Matra at the 1968 Canadian Grand Prix. His only full season with the French team came in 1970, when he finished third at the Monaco Grand Prix.

He moved to March in 1971 and took fourth at the British Grand Prix, then drove for Politoys, Iso Marlboro, BRM and Surtees in later years. His last race was the 1976 United States Grand Prix, after 57 starts. His greater fame came in endurance racing: he entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans a record 33 times, won it four times, and later ran his own team, Pescarolo Sport.
