Mo Nunn

English engineer who founded and ran the Ensign Formula One team and later his own Indy car team

Morris Nuffield Nunn founded and ran the small Ensign team in Formula One from the late 1970s into the early 1980s, one of the independent British outfits that built their own cars on modest means.

His second career was in American racing. He worked for Chip Ganassi's winning Champ Car team, then founded Mo Nunn Racing for 2000. In 2002 he ran cars in both Champ Car and the Indy Racing League, where Felipe Giaffone finished third in the Indianapolis 500, and Alex Barron later won at Michigan for the team. He closed it in 2005 and retired. He died on the 18th of July 2018.
