Between 1991 and 2024, cars drawn by Adrian Newey for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull won 223 Grands Prix, 12 constructors' titles and 14 drivers' titles. His Red Bull RB19 won 21 of the 22 races it started, the most successful car the sport has seen. Before Formula One crowned him, his designs had already taken the CART championship in 1985 and 1986.

He left Red Bull early in 2025 and started at Aston Martin on the 1st of March that year as a part owner and its managing technical partner, ready for the new rules of 2026. In November 2025 the team announced that he would also become team principal from 2026, while still leading the technical side. After decades of drawing the cars, he now also signs the timesheets.
