Second at Zandvoort for Lotus

Trevor Taylor raced in the World Championship between 1959 and 1966, and finished second at the 1962 Dutch Grand Prix for Lotus.

Born in Sheffield, Trevor Taylor began in 500 cc Formula Three and first entered the World Championship at the 1959 British Grand Prix at Aintree, though he did not start. His first start came for Lotus in 1961.

As a works Lotus driver in 1962 he finished second at the Dutch Grand Prix, the only podium of his career, and at the end of that year he shared victory with Jim Clark in the non championship Mexican Grand Prix. He scored again at Monaco in 1963 and, driving for BRP, at the 1964 United States Grand Prix. His last start came at the 1966 British Grand Prix, his 27th. He died in 2010.
