From DTM Champion to Force India

Paul di Resta raced for Force India from 2011 to 2013 and returned for a single substitute start with Williams in 2017.

Born in Uphall in Scotland, Paul di Resta won the Formula 3 Euro Series and the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters before Force India gave him his Formula One debut at the 2011 Australian Grand Prix. He finished sixth in Singapore that first season.

His best results came with fourth places at the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix and the 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix. Without a seat for 2014, he returned to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters with Mercedes. As a Williams reserve driver he was called in for the 2017 Hungarian Grand Prix, his 59th and final start. He later served as a reserve for McLaren, commentated for Sky Sports and raced at Le Mans for Peugeot.
