Second Place on Debut

Kevin Magnussen finished second in his very first Grand Prix in 2014 and spent most of his Formula One career with Haas.

Born in Roskilde, Kevin Magnussen won the Formula Renault 3.5 title with DAMS in 2013 as a McLaren junior. McLaren put him in a race seat for 2014, and at the Australian Grand Prix, his first start, he finished second from fourth on the grid. It remains the only podium of his career.

After a year in reserve, with one entry in 2015, he raced for Renault in 2016 and then joined Haas, where he stayed until 2020. A season in American sports car racing followed before Haas brought him back in 2022, and that year he took pole position at the São Paulo Grand Prix. He served a race ban after the 2024 Italian Grand Prix and left Formula One at the end of that season with 185 starts. He has since raced sports cars for BMW.

0 world titles, 0 wins, 1 pole positions, 185 starts.
