Brazilian racing driver

Fifth Place on Debut

Felipe Nasr raced for Sauber in 2015 and 2016, finishing fifth in his first Grand Prix, and later became an IMSA champion.

Born in Brasília, Felipe Nasr spent 2014 as the official test driver for Williams before Sauber signed him for 2015. On his debut at the Australian Grand Prix he finished fifth, the best result of his Formula One career, and he added sixth in Russia later that year.

His second season was harder, but ninth place at his home race, the 2016 Brazilian Grand Prix, earned the team's only points of the year. Sauber replaced him for 2017, leaving him with 39 starts. He moved to the IMSA SportsCar Championship, where he has won three titles and races such as the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Daytona, latterly with Team Penske Porsche.
