Érik Comas raced in Formula One from 1991 to 1994 with Ligier and Larrousse, scoring points six times with a best finish of fifth.

Born in Romans sur Isère, Érik Comas won the French Formula Three Championship in 1988 and International Formula 3000 in 1990, earning a Ligier seat for 1991. His debut came at the 1991 United States Grand Prix, though he went the season without points.

In 1992 he scored with sixth in Canada, fifth at the French Grand Prix, his best finish, and sixth in Germany. Two seasons with Larrousse followed, and his sixth place at the 1994 German Grand Prix gave the team its final championship point. He left Formula One after the 1994 Japanese Grand Prix with 59 starts, then won the All Japan GT Championship with Nismo in 1998 and 1999.
