A Yorkshire Privateer With a BRM

Bernard White's East Yorkshire team ran a BRM in a handful of Grands Prix and a wider program of sports car and non championship races.

Bernard White Racing came from Walkington in East Yorkshire and was founded by Bernard White. In Formula One it ran a BRM P261 between 1966 and 1968, alongside a busy sports car program with a Ferrari 250LM and a Ford GT40 and several non championship Formula One races.

Innes Ireland drove the BRM at the United States and Mexican Grands Prix in 1966, retiring from both. David Hobbs took over in 1967, finishing eighth at the British Grand Prix and ninth in Canada. The team's last World Championship entry came at the 1968 Italian Grand Prix, where Frank Gardner failed to qualify.
