The 1963 season

Jim Clark and the Lotus Take Command

Jim Clark won seven of the ten rounds and sealed his first title at Monza with three races still to run.

Seven wins from ten rounds: Jim Clark's 1963 season set a mark no driver would beat until 1988. The runner up of the year before took his Lotus to the front so completely that British drivers won every race and took every pole, the first time any single nation had managed both, and Lotus collected its first manufacturers' title.
