Rubens Barrichello raced in Formula 1 from 1993 to 2011, won eleven Grands Prix, and twice finished runner up as a Ferrari driver.

Rubens Barrichello was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on May 23, 1972. After winning national karting titles he went to Europe in 1990, won the Formula Opel Lotus Euroseries, took the 1991 British Formula Three championship and placed third in International Formula 3000 in 1992. Jordan gave him his Formula 1 debut at the 1993 South African Grand Prix.

In 1994 he scored his first podium at the Pacific Grand Prix and took pole position in Belgium. He stayed with Jordan through 1996, then joined the new Stewart team for 1997, finishing second at Monaco in its first season and taking a pole in France in 1999.

Ferrari signed him for 2000 as Michael Schumacher's teammate, and his first win came at the 2000 German Grand Prix. He won four races in 2002 and two in 2004, finishing second in the championship to Schumacher both years while Ferrari collected constructors' titles. From 2006 he raced for Honda, which became Brawn in 2009; that season he won two races and placed third overall. He spent his final two seasons with Williams, ending his Formula 1 career at the 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix.
