Philippe Streiff raced in Formula One from 1984 to 1988 and finished third at the 1985 Australian Grand Prix for Ligier.

Born in La Tronche, Philippe Streiff made his Formula One debut with Renault at the 1984 Portuguese Grand Prix. In 1985 he drove for Ligier and Tyrrell, and at the season finale in Australia he brought his Ligier home third from eighteenth on the grid, the only podium of his career.

Two full seasons with Tyrrell followed, with fifth at the 1986 Australian Grand Prix and fourth in Germany in 1987, before a year with AGS in 1988. A testing crash before the 1989 season left him paralyzed and ended his racing career after 54 starts. He later organized an indoor karting event in Paris, and he died in 2022.
