Masten Gregory finished third on his World Championship debut at Monaco in 1957 and later won Le Mans for Ferrari.

Born in Kansas City, Masten Gregory made his World Championship debut in a Maserati at the 1957 Monaco Grand Prix and finished third. He added fourth places at Pescara and Monza that season.

Joining Cooper in 1959, he finished third at the Dutch Grand Prix and second in Portugal, the best result of his career. The rest of his Formula One years were spent mostly with private teams in Cooper, Lotus, Lola and BRM cars, ending at the 1965 Italian Grand Prix with 39 starts from 46 entries. That same year he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Jochen Rindt in a Ferrari. He died in 1985.
