Carlos Menditeguy raced in the World Championship between 1953 and 1960 and finished third at the 1957 Argentine Grand Prix.

Born in Buenos Aires, Carlos Menditeguy was also a top level polo player. He made his World Championship debut in a Gordini at the 1953 Argentine Grand Prix and then drove mostly for Maserati, scoring points with fifth at the 1955 Italian Grand Prix.

At his home race in 1956 he led for 38 laps before a driveshaft failure, and in 1957 he finished third at the Argentine Grand Prix, his only podium. His final championship start came at the 1960 Argentine Grand Prix, where he finished fourth in a Cooper, bringing his total to 11 starts. He died in 1973.
